Your information
Privacy
The person responsible for your information is Bozena Zawilinska trading as Areté Studio, 10 Abbotsford Lane, Hamilton, ML3 0RR, Scotland, United Kingdom. You can contact me at [email protected].
Information collected
When you send an enquiry, I receive your name, email address, optional website and service choice, and the message you write. Please do not send passwords, health information or other sensitive details.
Cloudflare may process limited technical information needed to deliver and protect the website, such as IP address, request and security data.
Why it is used
I use enquiry information to read, respond to and follow up on your request. The lawful basis is taking steps at your request before a possible contract and, where that does not apply, my legitimate interest in responding to genuine business enquiries.
Limited technical information is used for the legitimate interest of keeping the website and enquiry route secure and reliable. It is not used for advertising.
Who processes it
Cloudflare hosts and protects the website. Resend sends the enquiry email. Google provides the receiving Gmail inbox and, only after analytics consent, Google Analytics 4 through Google Tag Manager. These providers process information to provide their relevant services. I do not sell enquiry information.
How long it is kept
Unsuccessful enquiries are deleted 12 months after the last meaningful contact. If an enquiry becomes client work, relevant project, contract, payment and tax records follow a separate business-record retention schedule.
International processing
Some service providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where UK data-protection law requires it, the provider and I rely on recognised safeguards for those transfers.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access, correction, deletion or restriction of your information, or object to its use. Contact [email protected] to make a request.
You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Analytics
If you allow optional analytics, Google Tag Manager loads Google Analytics 4 to measure visits and the fixed interactions listed in the site’s analytics event map. I do not send enquiry text, names, email addresses or arbitrary URLs to analytics. Analytics remains off if you reject it or make no choice, and advertising features and Google Signals are disabled.
